Hypnotherapy supervision services
It is a requirement of most professional therapy associations, including those that accredit our course, that new therapists undertake supervision.
See an article explaining what this means here.
For example, hypnotherapists registered with the G.H.R. are required to engage in this beneficial process for a minimum of 2 hours in any 3 month period during their first 2 years of practice after qualification. They are encouraged to continue this practice after that time.
Our tutor Debbie Waller is listed by the GHR as a hypnotherapy supervisor and runs a peer support group recognised by the BIH.
Supervision and post-qualification support for students of Yorkshire Hypnotherapy Training
During your training, Debbie will provide whatever supervision you need. She is contactable at all times (though preferably not in the middle of the night!) via email or phone.
After you have completed your training, you can continue to contact us by phone or email for advice and support, although we do encourage you to undertake formal supervision from other sources as well.
YHT offers a supervision group which meets once a quarter at Keldale House in Beal, around halfway between our two training venues.
Supervision for those who have trained elsewhere
At present, there are some vacancies for regular one-to-one supervision and there is a group supervision option. This is held on Saturday mornings in Debbie's clinic in Normanton on a quarterly basis. The group is limited to four members only, so please contact Debbie if you are interested in coming along.
